MAYOR MATRO, UNDAUNTED BY DISTANCE AND DIFFICULT ROADS IN REACHING TANZA RESIDENTS

TANZA, Cavite — Tanza Mayor Archangelo “SM” Matro continues to personally visit communities, with distance and difficult roads not preventing him from reaching and checking on residents.

A video shared online showed Mayor Matro walking along muddy, rocky and overgrown paths as he made his way to a community he intended to visit.

The footage drew praise from a netizen, who said the mayor’s willingness to personally reach residents highlights the importance of staying connected with the community.

“Hindi naman talaga malayo, lalo na kung ang pakay natin ay magdala ng pag-asa at saya sa ating mga kababayan,” the message accompanying the post said.

The scene also underscored a simple aspect of public service: being present in communities, listening to residents and personally seeing the conditions they face.

Matro has also been documented by the Tanza municipal government personally visiting communities and delivering assistance to residents in need.
